Hotel will open in Herndon one mile from Dulles International Airport

HERNDON, VA [November 16, 2009] – The Westin Washington Dulles Airport hotel arrives in Herndon on Thursday, November 19, 2009.  Located just one mile from Dulles International Airport and under 30 minutes from Washington, D.C., the hotel promises to be a rejuvenating retreat for travelers, a weekend getaway for Washingtonians, and a strategic meeting place for many area technology companies, consulting firms and corporations doing business in the Dulles Technology Corridor.

Owned by Brentwood Hotels LLC and managed by JHM Hotels, the Westin Washington Dulles Airport is the crown jewel of Dulles Corner and features an oversized fitness center with the latest aerobic and free weight equipment. Located within the hotel, Padella Restaurant & Lounge will feature classic, comforting and innovative Italian cuisine in a chic atmosphere.

The hotel has 314 guest rooms, including 6 suites.  Hotel features include a state-of-the-art business center; the WestinWORKOUT® center; an indoor pool with whirlpool; high-speed and wireless Internet access; and valet parking.  The Westin Washington Dulles Airport boasts an 8,400 square foot ballroom, making it perfectly equipped for large events such as weddings and meetings.  The fourteen thousand square feet of flexible event space can be divided into ten meeting rooms to fit any occasion.

Guestrooms are comprised of 195 king bed rooms, 113 queen bed rooms, and 6 suites with king beds including  a living room with 42-inch flat panel television and views of landscaped, terraced banks on a local freshwater pond.  All standard rooms include 37-inch flat panel television. Dining

Executive Chef Luca De Marchis presides over Padella Restaurant & Lounge, a contemporary Italian restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Chef De Marchis will offer fresh pasta made daily in-house and creative dishes featuring local ingredients from Virginia farmers.  Dishes featuring goat cheese from nearby Cherry Glen Farm, delivered daily, are sure to become menu favorites and ample patio dining provides a calming outdoor retreat for business and pleasure travelers alike.
